Influence by the numbers

The number of ballot initiatives Advance Colorado has already put in motion for 2026.

Every two years, Coloradans open their ballots and face decisions on a menu of policy choices that wouldn’t be there were it not for the millions spent on signature-gathering, paid advertising, bullet-point research, and enthusiastic editorial endorsements that all together created the menu and pushed their preferred selections all before the ballots arrive.

It's a documented pattern, and it's happening again in 2026. This year, Advance Colorado is back on the ballot, pushing measures to increase prison sentences, deregulate polluting industries, and cut taxes for the wealthy.

The machine that built those initiatives is already running — and it is counting on Colorado voters not knowing who's behind them.
